Moxie was rescued from Camelot in Feb 2011. At the auction she was listed as being "in heat and very marish". This behavior continued in spite of treatment with various herbs for moody mares. Eventually after a vet consult it was thought she had an ovarian tumor that was conributing to her behaivor that had become dangerous. After a human euthanasia a necropy confirmed an ovarian tumor and organ damage to many organs, likely due to high hormone levels. She likely had been n pain and thei may have contributed to her behaior. She was a feisty lady that loved the boys and taught volunteers how to move quickly. She was christened "Bttercup" for her travels over the rainbow bridge. We imagine she is flirting with the boy horses where she is.
