Also videos available for some horses.

1) Submit adoption application and $15 fee.
2) If/When application is approved set up appointment for a visit. (We do not adopt to people who can not come and visit the animal(s) they are interested in). A good chemistry between adopter and animal is a critical aspect of the final approval process.
3)  Visit and evaluate horse on the ground and under saddle (if appropriate)
4) If you are interested in adopting after visit, discuss if you would be approved based upon your visit. If yes, then fill out adoption contract and put down a non-refundable deposit.
5) Make arrangements for final payment, getting HC and coggins and make arrangements for delivery or pickup.

Note adoption prices may change as we evaluate horses and learn more about them and as they undergo additional training.
The photos are updated regularly with available animals. When adopting an animal from us you will be required to fill out an adoption application and contract and satisfy a farm check, reference and vet check. Adopting a horse or other animal is a life-long commitment. You will need to be able to afford cost of hay, supplements, veterinary care, farrier care and boarding (if you do not own your own farm). Any mare adopted will NOT be allowed to be bred as part of adoption agreement. We do not make money (and usually lose money) when rescuing and adopting out a horse. Adoption fees help us recoup some of the costs we have incurred so that along with donations we are able to save other horses. EMAIL US FOR ADOPTION APPLICATION AND CONTRACT if you cannot access links below:[email protected]

ADOPTION: Adoption application click on "adoption application" to open. There is a $15 dollar application fee to cover our time checking your references, calling farrier, vet etc. If you adopt, the fee will be applied to your final adoption amount if you adopt within 2 months of your first visit to see the horse. Fill out the application and mail to Beech Brook Farm, 125 Fishtown Road, Mystic CT 06355 or you can scan and email to [email protected]. Once we have received the application and you have been approved we can make an appointment to ride and interact with the horse you are interested in.

CONTRACT: adoption contract Nov. 2012.docx  Review the terms of the contract prior to filling out an adoption application. If you can not agree to these terms you will not be allowed to adopt.

SPONSOR A HORSE. Help sponsor a particular horse. Sponsorship donation is to cover the estimated expenses for feed, farrier, routine health care (vaccines, worming) and other applicable expenses such as supplements or training fees. Sponsors receive photos, updates etc. and a certificate of sponsorship. Having sponsors helps provide funds when donations and fundraisers do not bring in sufficient funds for us to be able to support another horse. Thus sponsors allow us to save more horses.
