The cost of rescuing and caring for a horse is approximately $300 per month. Our program fees help to support horse rescue and instructor fees. In some cases we may be able to provide scholarships to offset costs for those with a need. Application forms for scholarships are below. Please mail forms to: Beech Brook Farm, 125 Fishtown Rd, Mystic, CT 06355.

We are able to fulfill this mission through donations, fundraising, and the administration of a limited scholarship program based strictly on need. Anyone wishing to apply for a scholarship must visit the farm and meet with the Scholarship Committee prior to submitting the application.
New Participants
Individuals applying to participate in a BBFER program may request a Scholarship Application and submit it with an application for participation. Action is taken on the Scholarship Application only after an individual is scheduled into a BBFER program.
Ongoing Participants
Ongoing participants who did not receive a scholarship award for the prior semester’s enrollment at BBFER may request a Scholarship Application during the registration period for the current semester and submit it for consideration.
Ongoing participants who received a scholarship award for the prior semester’s enrollment at BBFER are required to submit a Scholarship Application annually during the registration period for the fall semester.
All information provided on the Scholarship Application is kept in strict confidence. A Scholarship Committee reviews applications and may find it necessary to request additional information. This would be arranged on a confidential basis.
A scholarship is awarded in the form of a credit toward the tuition for scheduled services; the participant is notified of the award by a notation on the invoice for the services scheduled.
