I have just started what I call a Mini Farm, I have 1 Mini mediteranian Donkey Flower, 1 Llama K.C., 2 Brothers Mini Goats Piglet & Cow, 9 Hens so Funny, 2 Roosters My Boys, 2 Turkeys Husband & Wife Turk & Flora & 2 Yellow Labs Daisy & Pippins. I work with the Special Needs comunity High Functioning, I have a Sister who is Special needs who is working toword becoming A Vet Assistant. I am a happily married mom of a very active 3 yr old. Currently I am primarily a stay-at-home-mom, getting out occassionally to work when it trickles in. I am, in a good economy, a full-time professional archaeologist. I am also a writer and illustrator as needed, primarily in my field; but I do enjoy wildlife and botanical illustrating. I have a history of showing and training Arabians, Saddlebreds and NSHs, back in the 80s and then fell in love with Standardbreds, Mustangs and Percheron crosses in college. I did a lot of long distance trail training when I lived in Maine and was fortunate to frequent some amazing beach rides, even in sub-zero temps! Now I would just like a horse that is a good friend and a pleasure to ride. It would be nice for a change to have a horse I can just get on and go. I have two horses, one very sweet and cute, 9 yr old sabino Arabian mare and a very sweet, 7 yr old Standardbred mare. I am in the preocess of remodeling our property from scratch to make it into a horse property of my own. Maybe not my dream property but the best with what we have. I have just discovered "Paddock Paradise" and will be working toward that as my goal for my girls. I don't have a trailer, which is frustrating because I am 15 mins from Bigelow Hollow, Mansfield Dam and Natchaug/Goodwin Forests, but I have lots of dirt roads around where I live and little traffic so that is much better than nothing. |
